The Bee Initiative was created in 2013 which led to a non-profit organization in 2016 and then a registered charity in 2018 with the goal of the conservation of honey bees, educating the community, and having honey beehives in the community.

Founded by David Gapper-Hampson along with Anthony Collyer, the Bee Initiative has grown fast in two years. Now with 90+ community hives, and 20 volunteers.
